Brian came to SLL a few years ago and said he wanted to volunteer as a board member.  He took on a role as a VP of one of the T-ball divisions on the baseball side and stayed on as a divisional VP to work with the same group of managers as their kids moved up each year to Instructional and then Rookie this year.

Brian knew he was in a fight for his life.  He kept volunteering his time to SLL throughout his ordeal, seeing it as a positive thing to keep him going.  He loved seeing kids play baseball and helping keep SLL, an all-volunteer organization which depends entirely upon parents who are willing to commit their time to their kids, a good experience for kids in our community as a coach and SLL board member.  Please join us in remembering Brian and in thanking him for his time and talents to Sammamish Little League.

Brian was born in Rochester, New York where he lived until he moved to the suburbs of Los Angeles at the age of 12. He attended Agoura High School where he ran cross-country. He attended college at California State University at Northridge, earning a degree in finance. He worked his way through college at a banquet house where he made life-long friends his children now refer to as “the uncles”. He then worked at Hughes Aircraft as a financial analyst for 3 years. While living in California, Brian participated in distance cycling. He was especially proud of completing a ride from Vancouver B.C. to Southern California. He attended graduate business school at the University of Washington, including a study abroad program in England. He decided to stay in Seattle after earning his MBA. He went to work for what is now Deloitte Consulting, where he stayed for 8 years and met his wife, Kim. Brian worked in several small companies before starting at Microsoft in 2004, where he worked in the World Wide Industry Group. A true fan of the historical game of baseball, Brian served as a Division Vice-President on the Board of Sammamish Little League and coached his son’s teams for 4 years. He was devoted to his family, especially his children, Gavin (9), and Kelsey (6).
