For players ages 7-9. Players age 7 or 8 who have never played softball before are strongly encouraged to “play down” to the Tee Ball level.
Introduces girls to beginning underhand pitching technique and builds upon fundamentals learned in tee ball. A combination of player-pitch and coach-pitch is used. Friends may sign up to play with their friends on the same team - there are no "skill evaluations" at this level of play. Game scores and team standings are not kept. The emphasis is on sportsmanship, fun, and fundamental skill development.
Before you begin:
- If you have not already done so, run through the Pre-Registration Checklist.
- You'll be given the option to request to play up during registration. If you plan to select this option, do the following right now:
- please confirm your child qualifies per the SLL Policy, and
- complete the softball waiver and
- email it as instructed at the bottom of the softball waiver
- Please consider donating to the Brock O'Connor Memorial Fund. The Scholarship Fund was established in Brock's honor to assist families that needed some help for their player to pay for uniforms, equipment and fees.
